Seeklause Pramet: Insolvency proceedings opened

Seeklause Pramet: Insolvency proceedings opened

On January 27, 2021, the Rieder Volkszeitung headlined: “Bathing lake Pramet again without gastronomy? The conversion has come to a standstill”, here is the article. The operator, who wanted to realize the “new Seeklause”, said to the OÖN at the time: “Yes, we need additional financial resources. The construction costs have exploded due to the increase in building material prices, by around 30 percent. I am currently in talks with investors, the decision should be made in the coming weeks. We will not continue construction until then. Unfortunately, at the moment It’s a really bad time to convince financiers of a gastro project. I’m still optimistic.”

Liabilities: More than one million euros

This optimism is no longer appropriate. On Thursday namely the Alpine Association of Creditors (AKV) announces that bankruptcy proceedings have been opened at the Regional Court of Ried over the assets of Seeklause Gastronomiebetriebs GmbH, FN534573m. “The debtor was established in 2020. After the appropriate conversion and general renovation, the intention was to operate an inn, a beach bar and a kiosk at the Pramet bathing lake, including the construction of apartments and the leasing of tiny houses. The beach bar and the kiosk were already in operation in summer 2021. The decline in assets is attributed in particular to the construction cost overruns as a result of the unforeseeable increase in raw material prices. There are no permanent employees,” says a broadcast from the AKV.

The Alpine Association of Creditors puts the liabilities at just over one million euros (EUR 1.1). Liabilities of around EUR 306,000 are unsecured. According to the AKV, twelve creditors are affected by the insolvency. According to the AKV, the assets in the form of real estate amount to EUR 17,400. If you search for the Seeklause on Google, you will already get the information that the company is “permanently closed”.

Community hopes for interested parties

“The company is closed, a renovation is not sought,” said the AKV. How things will continue with the Seeklause at the bathing lake, which is currently a construction site, is open. A few weeks ago, Pramet’s Mayor Eduard Seib said he was confident that there would be a solution with or without the operator. Seib said to OÖN in January: “The community has the right of first refusal on the property. In the event of bankruptcy, there would definitely be interested parties.”
