Everything was prepared. This Sunday, July 12, 2020, the motor plane is ready on the Linz-Ost airfield, the glider pilot-both connected to a rope with which one is supposed to bring the other aircraft up. After the last radio message it goes up. “If you start north, you have to fly a right -hand bend immediately above the Danube and then quickly gain height,” says Werner Asanger. But exactly in this curve – at a height of about 100 meters – there is a fatal incident. “Suddenly the rope that should pull me is torn.”
