Dream job, salary: What children from Linz wanted to know

Dietmar Prammer willingly answered the questions of the children’s uni students.

16 young students from the children’s university were guests at the Upper Austrian News and were able to look behind the scenes of a media house for a day. After a short preparation, the children between the ages of 12 and 15 were even allowed to slip into the role of journalists themselves and lead a real interview.

As an interview partner, the Mayor of Linz asked himself the questions in the OhntV studio – despite all the routine, an unusual experience. “Young people ask honest questions, as a politician you are not so prepared,” said Prammer afterwards.

And the mayor showed a deep look, said, for example, that he was somewhat annoyed in the morning because he had come home late after a concert the evening before and had slept badly. The children wanted to know whether he is sometimes insulted or attacked on the street. “No,” said Prammer, that is more likely to take place online. “Sometimes there are emails that are not so nice.”
