Serious accident on the A1 at Allhaming: 60-year-olds from SUV saved

Fire brigade, red cross, emergency doctor and helicopter, ASFINAG and police: A large contingent of emergency services was used on Wednesday afternoon after a serious accident on the A1 West Autobahn in the direction of Vienna. A woman from the Linz-Land district had lost control of her SUV shortly before the Allhaming exit. The car came off the road, overturned and remained behind the guiding rail on the side.

The 60-year-old had to be freed from the completely demolished car by the fire brigade in close coordination with the emergency doctor. Then she was flown to the hospital with the emergency medical helicopter. The A1 had to be blocked for the duration of the use so that the rescue helicopter could land. There was a kilometer -long traffic jam. Details on the cause of the accident and the health state of the woman were not yet known on Wednesday evening.
