She is the mother of the Linz cake bench, the three seasons-most recently in the previous year-invited to linger on the main square. Astrid Starrermayr has inspired the sweet Linz ambassador to other art objects. In their textile Linz cake collection there are bags, backpacks and textile jewelry. The 49-year-old furniture and textile designer raves for these accessories.
“As a child, I was always tinkering and handicrafts,” she says in an interview with the OÖN in the country park. Here, on the promenade, she likes to be, the near Herrenstraße love her because of the nice shops and in summer you can find her in Alt-Urfahr if she made a picnic with her eleven-year-old daughter.
Late self -employment
She has her roots in Ennsdorf, but Starrermayr feels like a Linz woman. Her parents pulled with her here when she was three years old. Here she pressed the school desk, at the HBLA for economic professions. Here, after the fashion colleg in Mödling, she connected the master class textile at the art university. Here she worked (including in the Linz casino) before she took a step into self -employment two and a half years ago. “I always flirted with it, was always doing, but now the time was ripe for it.” In her friend she found a big strainer.
In retrospect, she sees the Corona period as a “engine” for the fact that it went more in the artistic direction in her life. There is no shortage of ideas. “I always have a lot more ideas than I can implement,” she says. It would be rich in keywords, only a fraction of the noted ideas manage it into the phase of implementation.
