A large number of fire brigade, rescue and police is currently in use in the Auwiesen district in the Gabessstraße. The operation has been running since 9 a.m.

A pedestrian bridge that leads over a garage entrance is completely collapsed. According to initial information, a truck crashed into a wall at around 9 a.m. – the handlebar apparently wanted to enter the underground car park. The bridge then collapsed and buried the truck under itself. There were two inmates in the truck, both of them are still trapped, but are available.

With a 220 tons of crane from the Felbermayr company, an attempt is currently being made to lift the bridge in order to be able to save the occupants. It is important to secure the bridge, then only the rescue can be carried out. Several other large cranes were requested. The Linz fire department, the Steyr fire brigade, is in action of rescue and the police.
