With the start of the holiday in parts of the Netherlands and another travel wave from North Rhine-Westphalia, the ÖAMTC will expect a significantly increased traffic volume on the transit routes to the south this weekend. Even if the longest traffic jams are still imminent, delays can be expected in particular in front of construction sites, toll points and border crossings. In Styria, the rally Weiz and Ennstal Classic attract numerous visitors, which will lead to regional traffic disorders.
According to the ÖAMTC, the risk of traffic jams exists in particular on the following routes:
- A1, West Autobahn, in the Salzburg area
- A2, Süd Autobahn, between Sinabelkirchen and Gleisdorf, in front of a construction site
- A9, Pyhrn Autobahn, tolls Bosruck and Gleinalmtunnel, Kalwang construction site- Mautern, border playing field
- A10, Tauern Autobahn, in the Salzburg area, in front of the St. Michael toll in Lungau and in front of the tunnel areas, for example in front of the Oswaldiberg Tunnel near Villach
- A11 Karawanken Autobahn, in front of the Karawanken tunnel
- A12, Inntal Autobahn, Greater Innsbruck area, Kufstein/Kiefersfelden border
- A13, Brenner Autobahn, throughout the course, especially in the Innsbruck area, in front of the Schönberg toll point and in front of the Luegbrücke construction site
- A23, Southeast Tangente, in both directions throughout the course
- B179, Fernpass Straße, between Füssen in Bavaria and Nasserith
