A tourist bus overturned in the central part of Turkey, near the city of Konya. The accident killed five people. This was reported on Saturday, February 19, by local media.
Injuries of varying severity were received by 26 people. They were taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
As noted in the Russian Embassy, according to preliminary data, there were no citizens of the country on the bus.
According to preliminary data, the vehicle was heading from Izmir to Cappadocia. The bus driver lost control on an icy road.
Emergency services are currently on the scene. The injured are taken to hospitals.
Earlier, on January 18, a tour bus with tourists, among whom were Russian citizens, collided with two other scheduled buses in the Dominican Republic. One person, the driver, died as a result of the accident.
