Novo Hamburgo failed in a dramatic semi -finals from the later winner Vöcklabruck. In addition, an international legionnaire selection of the domestic Bundesliga with players from Brazil, Argentina and the USA for the first time.
TuS as an outsider
Three top teams from the region stand in their way as opponents. The TV Enns is the current cup champion in Austria, Union Nussbach only made it to the 1st Bundesliga a few weeks ago.
