In Lengau, the priesthood team kicks against those of the mayors. While some rely on heavenly vibrations, the others rely on political tactics – but in the end only one thing counts: not only to hit the goal, but also in the heart. The two captains Michael Semmelmeyer (chaplain in Perchtoldsdorf, Lower Austria) and Robert Reiter (Mayor of D. von Rauris, Salzburg) immediately agreed and drummed up their players from all federal states. The priests start with a small disadvantage: “There are many baptisms and weddings, especially in summer, not all of them can come, but otherwise we would be happy to help players,” says Rippl, who once kicked the mayor and is open to change the team on this day, if necessary.
