Several people are unable to get out of an apartment building in the New York area of the Bronx (USA), where a powerful fire broke out. This was reported on February 20 by local emergency services.
The fire was reported at 19:12 ET (3:12 Monday Moscow time).
“Firefighters are trying to reach people trapped on the top floor of the building. The fire seems to be spreading upwards at great speed,” the message said. Twitter.
Firefighters arrived at the scene. They reported that people could not get out of the fire on the third floor of the building, where, presumably, the fire was located.
Earlier, on February 7, a fire broke out in the 23-story building of the Pennsylvania Hotel in downtown New York. The fire started around 14:00 local time, or around 22:00 Moscow time. The fire broke out on the second floor of the building. More than 70 firefighters were involved in fighting the fire. About an hour after igniting, the fire was brought under control. There is no information about the victims.
