In the laboratory, TFA was detected in both water and food. Environmental protection NGOs often blame PFAS pesticides for this, but TFA can also find the way to agricultural areas through rainfall. Data on the use of pesticide could contribute to clarification.
No data in Austria
The Greens’ agricultural spokeswoman, Olga Voglauer, explained that in Austria the foundations for the use of Pfas pesticides would be missing: “We have no data where this is applied. After this is now being checked in Germany, it would be urgently needed that Austria would do this – and that the approval for this pesticides deprives this pesticides.”
