Shortly before Christmas, the time had come: The restaurant in the 2023 new team 7 Welt Ried Schloss after a little less than one and a half years again. “We are looking for a new, very good tenant, a landlord. It is a great restaurant that offers a lot of opportunities, among other things the event of events,” said Team 7 Managing Director Georg Empechtinger in November 2024 when asked about OÖN. Team 7 was completed around nine months later. As the company announced on Monday evening in a press release, the restaurant that bears the name “Werk 7” will open in October.
The new restaurant is managed by chef Julian Bauer. “For me, cooking means touching people, with honest products that I know and appreciate. It is much more than a job. It is my origin, my passion and my way to express me,” says Bauer, who is already swing the wooden spoon in several renowned houses, most recently in the “Lukas” restaurant in Schärding. He rely on regional ingredients with surprising accents. “I cook what I like to eat myself,” Bauer is quoted in the press release.
Among other things, a roasted salmon trout with homemade gnocchi, braised ox bracker with kale and potato puree, creamy forest mushroom risotto and classic Innviertel dumplings can be found on the map. The offer is supplemented by seasonal specialties such as asparagus in spring, wild in autumn or a Martinigansl in November. “Despite the high culinary claim, prices are moderate”, because good taste should be accessible, the broadcast is announced. The almost five-meter-high interior of the restaurant is, not surprisingly, shaped by team 7 furniture made of white oak and fine natural leather.
