World heritage on flames: Cathedral in Cordoba escaped a disaster

The flames slapped out of the roof, onlookers photographed, many feared the worst. But in the fire of the world-famous Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba in southern Spain, the horror was greater than the consequences. According to the dean of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Joaquin Alberto Nieva, the damage is “very low”. The cathedral comprises approximately 23,000 square meters of space, only 25 to 50 square meters are affected. You will be able to repair everything.
