A break had to be taken due to the corona virus, and the tobacco factory will soon be soldering, screwing, sewing and gluing again. On March 3, the Volkshilfe repair café starts again in the “Kreisler*in”.
From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., voluntary helpers will provide help and advice in the repair of clothing or defective small electrical appliances such as lamps, toasters, radios or coffee machines in return for a voluntary donation. This avoids expensive new purchases and reduces waste. In any case, the restart after a long forced break is the prelude to many other events. In the future, the Repair Café will again take place every first Thursday of the month.
By the way: Volunteers who like to sew or repair are always welcome in the Repair Café team. “We’re always on the lookout for new experts,” says Rosa Rumetshofer-Karlinger, the volunteer officer at Volkshilfe Oberösterreich.
