“Who the f *** is anfield? Des is Hendlpark, Oida!”: Next Saturday for the players of FC Pischelsdorf in the derby against Mattighofen for the last time through the small door that opens the way towards the FCP home. In the Upper Austrian football sub-house, the “Hendlpark” now enjoys a similar cult factor as in world football the legendary Aufield Road of Liverpool FC, to which the saying on the Red Plate is obtained above the Pischelsdorf sports field. The system owes its name to a chicken coop, which is managed by a resident next door.
Similar to the incumbent English Premier League champion, the opponents of FC Pischelsdorf have bitten their teeth at the “Hendlpark” in recent years-for a simple reason: the place behind the Pischelsdorfer elementary school filled with 90 by 45 meters to get the approval for championship business. While the opponents mostly struggled with the unusually small space, the Pischelsdorfer played their strengths in the smallest square of Upper Austria, especially in the recent past.
From September, the Pischelsdorfer must – and may – demonstrate their home strength at a new place of work. In the past two years, a modern, new jewelry box, which the FCP against Burgkirchen will be inaugurated on Sunday, September 7, has emerged not far from the time -honored “Hendlpark”. Two new-and large-lawn places including floodlight plants, four changing rooms and a new clubhouse that sits over the grandstand with more than 100 seats: a new system was built by around 2.5 million euros, which-for lower house conditions-plays all pieces.
