During the pandemic, seeing the amount of waste stored on the beaches, Edna came up with building a home. In this way, Sal Casa de Sal was born, a structure that was raised in two years and is composed of 8,000 glass bottles.
The house has Seven rooms, accurately assembled glass walls, partitions made with recycled pallets and even tiles made of toothpaste tubes. The first quarter, just 20 square meters, worked as a sewing workshop while the work took shape. “The first year and a half was pure ingenuity: Without conventional bathroom, washing dishes in a palangana.
