The house of Boltons, who developed from a trailer to the vehement critic of Trump, is searched as part of “an investigation into national security”, explained a source familiar with the matter, according to Reuters.
The New York Post reported that the house in the Washington suburb of Bethesda was ordered by FBI director Kash Patel. “Nobody is above the law … @fbi agent in action,” wrote Patel, without mentioning Bolton, shortly after 7 a.m. (local time) in a post on X that was shared by a spokesman for the White House.
From the security consultant to the critic
Bolton was a US ambassador for the United Nations and National Security Advisor of the White House during Trump’s first term. Since then, however, he has developed into a critic of the Republican President and has described Trump as unsuitable for his office.
