A failed overtaking maneuver has been fatal to a motorcyclist on Saturday afternoon on the B154 near Tiefgraben on the Mondsee (Vöcklabruck district): The 45-year-old Hungarian from the Salzburg area had lost control of his bike at “Irrseeblick”. He fell and slipped into oncoming traffic. A 23-year-old car driver from the Vöcklabruck district could no longer dodge or brake in time: the motorcycle and the car collided head-on.

Tank torn
The impact was so violent that the tank of the motorcycle dismantled and the fuel was distributed on the road.
