The fire brigades Neuhofen im Innkreis and Kohlhof had their hands full on Sunday. At lunchtime, a building fire was reported in Baumbach: a wooden facade had caught fire on a residential building for an unknown cause.
Building fire with unclear cause
When the emergency services arrived, the facade burned to the roof. The post -bar recognized the fire early on and the residents also provided quick help with the first extinguishing measures. The fire was finally brought under control by a rapid intervention by the fire brigade.
Both indoor and outdoor areas of the building burned so strongly that the emergency services were dependent on severe respiratory protection. After the fire could be brought under control, the facade was gradually removed so that existing embers can still be localized and deleted. The FF Ried supported the emergency services with a turntable ladder.
With a heat camera, it has been ensured that all positions have been extinguished. The operation ended after a little more than two hours.

Oil exit including tractor recovery
However, the FF Neuhofen should not come to rest after the fire extinguishing: Even during the cleaning work after the fire in Baumbach, an oil track was reported.
A tractor had lost oil on the road. The emergency services blocked the road and began to bind the leaking liquid. The oil had already spread at the time and flowed into a channel. To prevent it from flowing into the adjacent stream, oil binder was used. A specialist company finally disposed of the vacuumed oil professionally.
The tractor was no longer ready to drive and could not be towed due to a gear damage. The FF Ried therefore had to help again to pull the vehicle onto a trough and remove the road.
