Just in time, a police patrol arrived in a parking lot in the municipal area of ​​St. Georgen im Attergau (Vöcklabruck district): a dog was included in a parked car. At outside temperatures around 25 degrees, the car became a life -threatening heat trap within a short time. His luck: attentive passers -by noticed the four -legged friend in an emergency and alerted the emergency call.

The two police officers who arrived a little later found a strongly panting dog, which already showed significant signs of overheating. Because the animal’s condition was increasingly deteriorating, rapid action was in demand. The civil servants hit the rear window of the car, freed the dog from his hot prison and provided it with water.

The owner could then be researched quickly. He wanted to go on a sailing tour on Lake Atters and quickly returned to the parking lot when a call from the police hit him.
