You can literally see the relief: FP infrastructure state councilor Günther Steinkellner has desired that the bypass Mattighofen-Mundfing is still being built as long as he is in office. This has turned out, in 2027 the decades of decades are over: The two other sections of the Mattighofen-Mundfing bypass (B147) should also be finished until then. “Hard to believe, if you want to bet against it,” stone waiter joked in a good mood at a press conference in an inn in Ranshofen.
- The OÖN reported: Tedious steps to the construction of the Mattighofen-Mundfing bypass
For several decades, a solution for the traffic -plagued city square Mattighofen has been looking for, the bypass construction was delayed in the past, mainly because of the protests in the past, the OÖN reported in detail. Objection was raised against every decision. That should now be over, everything is “through”. The tenders are currently being prepared. The unofficial starting signal for construction can no longer be overlooked: a 17.7 meter long, around ten meter high and almost 50 meter wide transfer structure in the area of the Schalchen-Mattighofen train station. This building alone will cost 2.5 million euros. Speaking of costs: The infrastructure department also has to strap the belt closer, the money is scarce. The state council emphasizes that it will be invested in the Braunau district, the entire Innviertel and the country. “But it is not possible to do everything in the intensity in which we would like it.”

In addition to ongoing investment measures such as the general renovation of the B156 in Moosdorf, it is further planned. We are looking for a solution for the B148 in Elling and the so -called Moser crossing a few kilometers further in St. Peter. As reported, an ampelial solution is preferred here. In addition, the regional council met with the mayors around the municipality of Jeging to find “Kluge” solutions for the traffic situation there (Spange Jeging).
