In expats (short form for “Expatriates” note), Austria continues to meet hate: While the foreign workers praised the country again for its high quality of life (fourth place) in the annual expat survey of internations, the survey again showed significant weaknesses in social familiarization. Austria landed in the index “Ease of Settling-in” with 41th place in the lower field.
The main reason for this: the unfriendliness of the locals. It is correspondingly difficult to make friendships here or to feel welcome here.
