The nominees for the Austrian Book Prize 2025 have been determined: A total of 16 titles were selected for the Longlist Book Prize and the Longlist debut price. With the introduction of a new debut longlist (see below), the main association of the Austrian book trade would like to attract even more attention to Austrian young authors and their publishers and thus further increase the visibility of outstanding first works.
The Mollnerin is on the regular longlist Verena Stauffer and the Freistädterin Andrea Winkler Two Upper Austrians.
The shortlist will be released on October 9, the award ceremony will take place in November for the “Buch Wien”.
