State Councilor Kaineder: “This is a huge disappointment”

The Green Environmental Councilor Stefan Kaineder criticizes that the federal government “sets the wrong priorities” in the budget cuts. These would be carried out during environmental funding, such as when exchanging the boiler or in e-mobility, while environmentally harmful funding was preserved. That is the wrong way. “This increases the risk that the goal of climate neutrality 2040 is in danger.”

  • Heating, renovating: “The time of the watering can is over”

The funding measures not only have a positive impact on the CO2 balance, but would also create jobs and generate added value. Everyone invested as funding would flow back four times. The Federal Government’s procedure is a “huge disappointment”.

Andreas Gahleitner, installer in Neufelden in the Mühlviertel with 21 employees, says that funding has been a turbo in recent years, “the current uncertainty is hard”. At peak times, there were ten to 15 inquiries for consulting dates every day, “none in the past two months”. Stable framework is needed. Investing in modern energy systems, customers could live more independently and more costly.
