After a more than two years of construction, the time has come: Judge Pharma starts the new production in Welser Durisolstrasse. In the coming weeks, the production of veterinary medicinal drugs, especially for pain treatment, will be raised. The family company has invested 35 million euros, as reported. With the modern filling line, Richter Pharma can produce around ten million bottles a year in the future – a tripling of the previous capacity. The subsidiary Vetviva Richter holds almost 800 pharmaceutical approvals and exports to more than 50 countries.
Although judge Pharma cannot escape economic developments such as increasing wage and energy costs, she expands her role as an important pharmaceutical company in Austria, it said at the official opening with political prominence on Friday. “With this investment, we strengthen our supply mandate for animal health with medicinal products ‘Made in Austria’,” said CEO Roland Huemer. The new production complex is not only a milestone for the company, but also for the country’s medical care security.
