At the official opening of the team house for the employees of the Spa Resort in Geinberg, Jürgen Harich, Managing Director of OÖ Wohnbau, spoke of the implementation in a “record -breaking time”. 15 months after the groundbreaking ceremony, all of the 43 modern one and two-room apartments with a size of 28 to 56 square meters were obtained. “Our employees are our highest good. So it was particularly important to us to create high -quality living space,” said Johann A. Sommerer, Managing Director of the Spa Resort Geinberg.
“We are pleased that we were able to implement the project in a prime location right next to the Spa Resort together with the Upper Austria Wohnbau, which is also the owner of the building,” emphasized Sommerer. The demand for employee apartments was extraordinarily large, all units were rented after two weeks. The basic requirement for the preservation of an apartment is a full -time position in the thermal bath.
People who have more than an hour from their place of residence to Geinberg receive a rental price supported by the employer. “This is around 60 percent of the normal rental price,” said Sommerer. “It is all sorts of what happened here. There were some discussions with the Upper Austria residential building, but as the saying goes: people come together. It is not a matter of course to do so much for the employees,” said Geinberg Mayor Franz Ludwig Reitinger (FPÖ) at the opening.
Employees from 27 nations
On the contrary, one has no problem of skilled workers: the quality and qualifications of applicants have increased again in recent years, said Sommerer. Employees from 27 nations are currently employed in the Spa Resort Geinberg, a total of 350 people work in the thermal bath and the hotel.
