After a quarter of a century at the head of the state, Grand Duke Henri handed over the official business to his son. The change is not surprising, the 70-year-old monarch had already announced the resignation in his Christmas address.
Today it was time: After the official abdication, Guillaume was introduced as the new Grand Duke in Office and dignity. The 43 -year -old heir to the throne is Henri’s eldest son, he is married to the Belgian noble Stéphanie (41), the couple has two sons Prince Charles (5) and Prince François (2).
