Thomas Preining became sixth on Sunday – too little to intercept his teammates.

After the racing victory on Saturday, Thomas Preining went into the last race of the season as a second race. However, this also meant that the Linzer had to go into the race on Sunday with 25 kilograms in the cockpit. This additional weight was already noticeable during qualifying in the morning. Preining did not get past eleventh place.

Happiness in the first round

Ayhanancan Güven started the race second and was very lucky in the first round. After a bremble, he not only stayed in the race, but was also out of the danger zone in good time when the further field of drivers turned into the curve. In contrast to Rene Rast, who was touched by a subsequent driver and taken out of the race. Rast would also have fought for the overall DTM ranking.
