The Mauthausen fire brigade faced a special challenge on Sunday: a dog had crashed over a steep rock slope and got stuck in a crevice. The area was not accessible. With a fire brigade vehicle, which is equipped with a crane and work basket, the emergency services managed to get to dog Rambo and to bring him to safety with a lot of tact.

Visibly exhausted, but unharmed, the firefighters Rambo handed over to his owners – they had missed him for several days and was looking for him publicly. They were overjoyed. After an hour and a half, the operation was over.
