Halls 19, 20 and 21 at the Wels Trade Fair have a total of around 29,000 square meters of exhibition space. This space is also necessary, as visitors to the “Caravan Salon Austria” will notice: camping vehicles from maneuverable vans to luxury trucks can be seen from Wednesday to Sunday, and exhibitors will also be presenting accessories and options for converting camping vehicles according to their own ideas.
On Monday, a constant stream of camping vehicles rolled into the halls all day long, with around 400 on display in total. There are also used vehicles in the open spaces. Preparations for the trade fair have been going on since Thursday. Andreas Magoc is responsible for ensuring that all exhibitors are in the right place by the opening on Wednesday. As a project manager, he is the contact person for all inquiries: “We are currently receiving 300 to 350 calls a day.”
One year of preparation time
Magoc and his colleagues have been preparing the Caravan Salon for a year, and it is currently in use every day from around 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. “But it’s a lot of fun. The exhibitors at the Caravan Salon are particularly relaxed, that probably has something to do with their work. I’m on a first-name basis with almost everyone,” says Magoc, who organized the trade fair for the third time this year.
