The Pixel 10 series consists of the Pixel 10dem Pixel 10 Pro (each with a 6.3-inch display) and the Pixel 10 Pro XL (6.8 inches). The OÖN editorial team took a close look at Google’s current smartphone flagship.
Design and processing: At first glance, the Pixel 10 series smartphones look very similar to their predecessors (Pixel 9). If you look with a magnifying glass, you will find at least small changes. For example, the camera module on the back, which has become slightly larger and now protrudes around four millimeters. Furthermore, the slot for the SIM card is now at the top. Little has changed in terms of material either; the frame is made of aluminum and the back is made of glass. The latter causes the smartphone to easily slip out of your hand. However, this problem can be alleviated by using a cover. Otherwise, the device sits very well in the hand. You are already used to high-quality workmanship from Google smartphones. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is no exception here. With dimensions of 162.8 × 76.6 × 8.5 millimeters and a weight of 232 grams, it is one of the heavyweights.
Display: One of the device’s great strengths is undoubtedly the 6.8-inch screen. Because what Google calls the “Super Actua Display” is one of the best smartphones currently have to offer. It impresses with strong contrasts and bright colors. But what is really impressive is the brightness. With a maximum radiance of up to 3300 nits, the screen content is still very easy to read even in direct sunlight.
