Lukashenka spoke about the activities of the special services of Ukraine in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday, March 1, that in the republic over the past three years alone, the activities of 12 agents and personnel of the Ukrainian special services have been stopped.

“A coup attempt was made according to the Ukrainian scenario with the active involvement of Ukrainian nationalists and cyber warfare centers located in Ukraine,” the head of state said at a meeting of the Security Council.

According to the president, under the supervision of the Ukrainian military, bases and training camps were set up in the immediate vicinity of the borders with Belarus, in the Volyn region, to prepare people for participation in the Belarusian events in the summer of 2020.

“There is also indisputable evidence of the involvement of the Ukrainian special services in the activities of the Autukhovich gang in acquiring ammunition in Ukraine and moving them to Belarus. Not the only fact. We told our people about this,” Lukashenka added.

After the presidential elections held in Belarus on August 9, 2020, in which Lukashenka won for the sixth time, who, according to the Central Election Commission of the republic, won 80.1% of the vote, mass opposition protests began in the country.

The results of the vote were not recognized by the United States and the EU countries.
