They once adorned the heads or necklines of monarchs, but now they are in the hands of criminals: After the spectacular museum burglary at the Louvre in Paris, the police are feverishly searching for eight pieces of jewelry with inestimable moral value.

The material value of the gemstones and precious metals processed is also considerably high. The eight pieces consist of a total of 8,708 diamonds, 34 sapphires, 38 emeralds and 212 pearls. It is now known in detail which art treasures the perpetrators stole:
- One tiara and one Bow brooch by Empress Eugénie: The wife of Napoleon III, who died in 1920. was the last monarch of France. The stolen bodice brooch in the shape of a bow is set with more than 2,600 diamonds. According to media reports, the perpetrators also stole a crown from Empress Eugénie. The headdress, which was set with 56 emeralds and 2,490 diamonds, was lost during the escape. He was found near the Louvre.
