15-year-old robbed pensioners in Linz

On Tuesday at 8:40 p.m. on the Froschberg in Linz, a 15-year-old man with a pistol in his hand asked a 66-year-old and an 88-year-old man to give him all their cash. After the two women from Linz had handed him the money, the youth fled. The 66-year-old informed the police.

The officials took up the chase and were able to arrest the youth a street away. During the search, officers determined that the youth’s weapon was an unloaded pistol. The stolen cash – less than 100 euros – was secured and the 15-year-old was taken to the Linz police detention center. The youngster confessed there yesterday, citing as a motive that he had been influenced on social media and by friends. The 15-year-old also confessed to another robbery on March 7th.
