From the small hairdressing salon in Laakirchen to the large Innviertel industrial company: From March 28th to April 2nd, more than 510 companies invite you to more than 1500 events as part of the first Upper Austrian Job Week. “Unlike at a trade fair, however, the companies themselves are the venues,” said Doris Hummer, President of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce. The aim of the joint initiative of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce, the education department and the labor market service is to bring employers together with potential skilled workers.
In doing so, the aim is to leverage the existing potential and make use of personnel reserves. Because three out of four Upper Austrian companies are currently looking for staff. In February, 34,000 job seekers faced 32,000 vacancies.
The search for personnel should be successful with company tours, try-outs, lectures, workshops and speed dating, company breakfasts and other individual offers. A joint “Long Night of Teaching” is also to take place with the “Hot Spot! Innviertel” initiative. Interested parties can register via the platform www.jobweek.at. There are already 1500 pre-registrations.
