Currently, the house at Landstraße 113, in which Betten Reiter lived for years, opposite the Volksgarten, is a large camp. As reported, a collection center for relief supplies that are brought to Ukraine is set up there. Incidentally, donations in kind can be handed in there from Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. – sleeping bags, insulating mats and medication are particularly needed.
At the end of the year, however, a new building is to be built there, as Gerold Letzbor, founder and managing director of the company L-Bau Engineering, reveals: “We carried out the changes that the design advisory board asked us to make, and we have already applied for the demolition permit. However, due to Corona, it is currently relatively difficult to conduct construction negotiations.” After the start of construction towards the end of this year, the new building should be ready in two years, in which commercial space is planned on the ground floor, with apartments planned above. And it should upgrade the southern country road in the direction of the music theater, which is currently more of a “problem child” in the city.
A parking garage “with around 15 parking spaces”, as Letzbor says, will also be built. Access from the country road is provided for this purpose.
