Boric arrived in Santiago by helicopter from the city of Valparaíso where he was invested. There he changed to a vehicle with a hatch and then returned to the Ford Galaxy driven by a woman.
Thousands of people -many very excited- awaited him in the surroundings of the La Moneda palace in an atmosphere of great hopes and dreams that the new president embodies, only 36 years old, the youngest in the world.
Accompanied by his Minister of the Interior, Izkia Siches holding hands raised, as a sign of triumph, Boric never lost his smile and appreciated the affectionate greeting of the citizens.
Chilean flags, feminist purples, the yellow and blue colors of his native Magallanes honored the former Frente Amplio deputy.

One block from La Moneda, on Agustinas street, he got out and hugged a girl who asked him for a selfie, another gave him a drawing and he kept it in an inside pocket of his jacket.
Then he resumed the protocol and together with the first lady, Irina Karamanos, the head of ceremonies, Manahi Pakarati and the Minister of the Interior walked the red carpet towards La Moneda. Previously, the National Anthem was sung together with thousands of people.
After receiving honors from the presidential escort, he walked towards the statue of Salvador Allende, next to the Government Palace, greeting with a hand on his heart, after which he entered La Moneda for the first time receiving honors in the courtyard of The cannons of the presidential guard.
