A 58-year-old apparently felt so disturbed by a leaf blower on Tuesday lunchtime that he lost his nerve. The man opened the window of his apartment around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday and threatened a 21-year-old, who was working with the device together with a 57-year-old colleague in front of the house, with a gun. He aimed the gas pistol at the young man and repeated.
The Rapid Intervention Group and the Cobra Task Force moved in. The special forces were able to quickly arrest the rabid Linzer. During his interrogation, he stated that he had felt bothered by the noise of the leaf blowers being used by the two workers, which is why he finally “freaked out”.
The gas pressure pistol was secured, and a provisional weapon ban was imposed on the man from Linz. After consultation with the public prosecutor’s office, the 58-year-old was reported at large, the police said on Tuesday evening.
