Judge Mariela Alejandra Giménez issued the order against Cabello for charges related to drug trafficking. The president responded today to what happened from his country, after returning from Argentina.
Yesterday Diosdado Cabello referred to the subject, in his appearance on the television program that he hosts in Venezuela, “Con el Mazo Dando”: “I walked through Argentina,” he said on the air and in a cheerful tone he said that he arrived “as far as Patagonia.”
In a humorous tone, the man who supports Nicolás Maduro in the Venezuelan government left another sentence: “I didn’t bring a penguin because I couldn’t,” he laughed.
The official assured that he was in the country and linked the decision to order his arrest as part of the agreement between the Government of Alberto Fernández and the International Monetary Fund.
The court order of the substitute judge Mariela Giménez was sent to the Federal Police, the Gendarmerie (border police) and the Airport Security Police, under the alert that “she would have an arrest warrant from the United States.”
In the judicial resolution, the magistrate indicated that it was known that Cabello was going to travel to Argentina “approximately on March 11, 2022” and that he would enter through the province of Jujuy.
Regarding the arrest warrant for Judge Giménez, Cabello crossed Judge Giménez: “I know the reason for all that; They believed that she was going to visit Milagro Sala, they fear that woman’s voice, and what she tells me, I will tell the world.” In defense of the leader Tupac Amaru, he said that “Macri put her in jail and Mr. Fernández did not find a way to release her.”
Criticism in an ironic tone from the vice president of Venezuela continued and he expressed that “since they were negotiating with the International Monetary Fund, the Argentine Foreign Ministry sent a judge in charge who is not even the holder of the position”, associating the measure as part of the “orders” to Argentina.
Finally, he left other comments in a humorous tone on the air on his program. “I was in Puerto Madero, I was there walking, it’s beautiful”and referred to the “tale of Argentine meat”: “It’s not that good, here in Venezuela there is meat like that,” concluded Cabello.
