The 2G obligation will remain in place inside pubs, amusement arcades, dance halls and discos until April 30th. From April 1st, the 2G obligation for employees over 50 will no longer apply. The mask requirement in the indoor area will remain in place until April 30th.

The government has also decided that all corona-related restrictions in places like football stadiums and dance halls will end on April 1st. In Italy, 91 percent of the population over the age of 12 have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Health Minister Roberto Speranza described the vaccination campaign in Italy as a success. The government is studying the possibility of offering a fourth dose to the elderly and fragile. As of March 16, 6.98 million people are still unvaccinated, of whom 2.39 million are temporarily protected because they have been cured of Covid-19 for less than 180 days.
