At the intersection with the B123, Donaubrückenauffahrt, the driver turned right in the direction of Enns. Suddenly, the truck and trailer tipped outwards in the uphill right-hand bend and overturned on the left-hand side. Due to the high traffic load at the accident site, there were already obstructions on the B123 during the safety measures.
In order to be able to carry out a vehicle recovery at all, the trailer loaded with silage had to be pumped out first. During the vehicle recovery, the entrance to the Danube bridge on the B3 side had to be completely closed from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Traffic to and from the Danube Bridge was diverted via the local area of Mauthausen.
