New approaches in child and youth welfare

New approaches in child and youth welfare

“Pro Juventute” was founded in 1947 by three married couples in Salzburg due to the great need of war orphans. It is now an Austria-wide social enterprise with more than 450 employees who looks after young people in difficult family situations on behalf of the responsible authorities. This happens, for example, in socio-pedagogical residential communities.

The German university professor speaks on the subject of “Effects and factors” in youth welfare Michael Macsenaere. The psychologist is an expert in the field of impact research and has headed the Institute for Child and Youth Welfare in Mainz since 2001. A panel discussion will then take place, among others, with the responsible state councilor Birgit Gerstorfer (SP). Admission is free, registration by email to martina.voglreiter@projuventute.at or at projuventute.at
