A group of Russian saboteurs, led by a secret service agent, was arrested in the city of Uzhgorod in the border triangle between Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary, the Unian agency reported on Tuesday night.
The job of the approximately 25 men also included the execution of a series of acts of sabotage. These should take place in the government district in Kyiv and in other parts of Ukraine. They wanted to pretend to be members of the territorial units of Ukraine and get to Kyiv that way.
The information could not be independently verified. According to the Ukrainian account, Russian espionage squads have tried several times since the beginning of the war to penetrate Kyiv and eliminate the president.
