Luger is shocked by the current corona management. “This federal government is haphazard and chaotic in the fight against the pandemic. I am experiencing the effects of this incompetent federal government in our city”.
Luger also has little understanding for the first measures taken by the new Health Minister Johannes Rauch. On his first day in office, “the day with the highest number of new infections ever”, he announced a new freedom. The mayor of Linz is also shocked by the demands of some VP state governors to shorten the quarantine to five days without free testing. “I don’t want my daughter to be looked after by teachers at school who might be contagious. And I also believe that no mother or father would want to expose a child to this risk in a kindergarten.”
“The government has lost common sense”
Luger also has little understanding for Minister of Education Polaschek, who does not want to change the regulations for wearing FFP2 masks in schools until Easter, although the FFP2 mask was reintroduced everywhere else in closed rooms today.
Luger, on the other hand, protects his employees in the Linz magistrate. “It’s not the magistrate’s fault that tests go missing or are delayed.”
At the end of the video, the mayor of Linz has one more request: “Just keep using your common sense. Something the federal government has lost”.
