The 26-year-old from Upper Austria has joined Virtus Bologna, who is currently third in the Lega Basket Femminile (LBF) in terms of points lost. She could already make her debut on Friday in the cup quarter-finals.
The 1.89 m tall power forward from Schörfling am Attersee only finished the championship last weekend in Poland. The return home was followed by the call from Bologna. She received a “good offer”, said Sagerer, and made her way to Emilia-Romagna. After the medical tests, the new contract was sealed.
Bologna is the fourth station as a professional for the Upper Austrian after CD Zamarat (ESP), Energa Torun and Zaglebie Sosnowiec (POL). In the Polish league, Sagerer last recorded 13.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
