Beatings and police action after the U17 soccer game

The ATSV Stadl-Paura U17s sent the guests of the Union Neukirchen an der Vöckla home with a score of 5:2 on Wednesday evening. After the final whistle, the young kickers of both teams high-fived like real sportsmen and were on their way to their changing rooms. “Everything was peaceful at first,” says a youth official from ATSV Stadl-Paura.

But even as the competition was still going on, the Neukirchner coach “started to ignite,” according to the accusation from the hosts. First, the coach complained because the trainer of the Stadl-Paura squad watched the youth match on the bench – although he wasn’t even shown in the game report. Already at this point, ads were threatened.

When a floodlight went out a few minutes before the end of the game, the guests wanted to leave. However, the referee allowed the game to end normally because it was possible to switch on floodlights from the directly adjacent training ground.

“Next time you will win”, a kicker from Stadl-Paura is said to have called out to the opponents at the end. From that point on, my nerves were on edge. Because then a player from Neukirchen is said to have started assaulting.

A scuffle developed with a total of seven participants. An official is said to have even choked a young player.

But referees, coaches and another official immediately stepped in to separate the young and adult hotheads.

The police are investigating a fight involving seven participants and have already carried out interrogations. According to the executive, six people were injured in the incident on the soccer field. However, only slightly, so paramedics or even a doctor did not have to come to the rescue.
