Around 6 p.m., the group of around 10 to 15 previously unknown boys and girls met on the upper parking deck of the former shopping center. At the same time, a 15-year-old boy was there with his friend of the same age. The youths mobbed the two boys and then demanded money. Two of the perpetrators from the group choked one of the 15-year-olds and hit him on the upper right arm.
A 47-year-old from the Linz-Land district saw the attack on the boy and intervened. The perpetrators then fled without taking anything.
The 15-year-old was seriously injured in the attack and had to be taken to the Kepler University Hospital. The arm is broken, the boy was hospitalized.
