In order to save the registration costs for his car, a 41-year-old from Wels is said to have stolen someone else’s number plates and mounted them on his vehicle. The police caught the man three times in five days. There is also a suspicion that the man from Wels used a fake ID to park his car in a disabled parking space.
In the previous week, police officers saw the car parked in a disabled parking space. A check revealed that the license plates were stolen. The officials confiscated the tablets. But a day later, the police found the driver again with strange license plates. It also emerged that the 41-year-old had two parking permits for disabled people: one was fake, the other was misused because it was issued to another man. When the officials removed illegally stolen number plates from Welser for the third time, he complained loudly.
