15-year-old woman from the Mühlviertel dealt with her parents’ cannabis

A different kind of illegal family business has been exposed in the Rohrbach district: a 15-year-old had apparently tried to do business with the cannabis herb that her mother had grown in her garden at home. The Rohrbach district police command had received information that the girl was trading marijuana at the Rohrbach bus station. It was said that she got the drug from her parents.

During a house search at the family’s home address, cannabis herb, amphetamines and sales utensils were seized. The 50-year-old mother admitted to having been growing the cannabis in her own garden for the past two years. Her 53-year-old partner would then have sold the narcotic or exchanged it for other drugs.

Police stopped the man at a traffic stop on his way home while he was still trying to dispose of a small amount of amphetamine. The officers seized the drug. A clinical examination revealed that the driver was drug impaired. His driver’s license was provisionally taken away.

The daughter told the police that she had often taken herbal cannabis from her parents’ supplies and handed it over to a 15-year-old at the bus station. He had promised her to share the proceeds of the sale with her, which he never redeemed. The parents knew nothing about their daughter’s business. Those involved will be reported to the Linz public prosecutor’s office, the police said on Tuesday evening.
